Google Chrome – A Review

Google Chrome is a new internet browser developed by Google which is a combination of many additional applications including search engine and graphical layout of internet history. Thumbnails of most commonly opened websites let you access your pages with lightning speed. The additional feature of desktop shortcuts make it more sophisticated to use. The tabs are detachable. Detached tabs can be dragged and dropped into the browser, and tabs can be rearranged at any time. Isolation of each tab doesn’t allow the browser to crash in case of a site’s crash. Within each tab are individual controls, such as forward and back buttons. The search box and the address bar have been fused into a hybrid “Omni box”. Site specific passwords and other history can be easily recalled by the browser. The site specific search engines provide the additional benefit. The only limitation is that currently it can be used only for windows. One another limitation of Chrome is lack of plug-ins and more memory usage. Version 0.2.149.29 is the latest version considering the issue of security. However, if you’re addicted to Web apps and a need for speed, though, Chrome just might be the shine your browsing experience has been looking for.
